Why are you so weirded out by eating alone? I love eating lunch alone. It's my time of the day to be away from everyone else.

was just about to say the same thing. i love eating alone. time to catch up on news/reading/thoughts or a baseball game or golf tourney on TV.

There should be nothing awkward about having lunch alone in a restaurant. And Omi is one place I would recommend proximate to your work location.

No spot is better or worse to eat by yourself. I eat lunch alone often, and I'm gonna eat where I wanna eat.

I actually look forward to it occasionally.

Also, I used to work in United Plaza. If you get an hour for lunch, you can go pretty much anywhere in BR that's not downtown.

Zorbas is great. Whole Foods has a nice lunch. MJ Cafe is very good, almost total vegetarian, Don Bordelon has a counter with nice lunch and you can go sit in Goodwood Park .
.
Fleur De Lis, Maxwell's Market, LaMadeline, at some point the new and apparently improved City Pork.

Patio Lounge for a stiff drink ( and guarantee no one in there will tell on you) Stabilers is getting ready to start renovating the old City National Bank across from Bocage for a restaurant, Beausoleil , Zoe's in Town Center, Zea's in Town Center.

Five Guys, just don't sit where Citwit shite. Cafe Americain, pretty meh but a couple of good soups, New York Bagel is great.

Can't believe nobody mentioned Sushi Masa. I'd also recommend some of the aforementioned recs, namely Omi and Zorbas.

I'm not a fan of India's or Rocco's, but that's just me.
