Such as Mrs. Dash, Old Bay, etc.
I had a garlic and pepper from World Market that I just ran out of. I'm looking for a new brand.
I know, I'm uncultured slime for not using a mortar and pestel every night to grind my own spices.

Depends on what you want to season...

Cavender's Greek seasoning is a good salt and pepper replacement.

I'm not gonna say I don't use it, because I do.
But, can anyone really taste anything besides salt and cayenne in this?

agreed. I use it on one style of cooking: when i deep fry chicken strips and catfish. other than that I wouldn't put it on anything else.
i just liek to get a bunch of spices and mix them together, store in a jam jar

I dont think there is much else
I use it with black pepper for most of my stuff.

I tried spice blends for 1 year and gave it up. It doesn't save any time. I can grab 5 cans of spices out of the cabinet and mix them according to what taste I want and it only takes 20 seconds.

For Cajun seasonings Prudhomme's Magic Seasonings are pretty good. I like redfish magic and seafood magic

Pretty good for a cajun seasong IMO. Much better than Tony's.

I already have two types of tony's and some Tiger dust. I don't get the hate for tony's on this board. I like it on a lot of things.
We do chopped potatoes in the oven with olive oil and Tony's and nothing else at least twice a month.

For those who are interested, I'm an advocate of The Spice House. They're located in and around the Chicago area but do have excellent online service. They have every spice you'll want, and their blends are all I use (besides Tony's).
