Going tomorrow, any suggestions on places to eat? On property would be best, we won't have a car.
Thanks!

Thanks!

I actually posted this question a while back...I'll see if I can find it.
I do remember enjoying one of the Morrocan(sp?) places in Epcot. I understand there is also a top notch steak place in Epcot. I'll see if I can dig up the old thread to help.

Last minute for spring break, unfortunately I believe you will find all restaurants booked up...

Ohana is cool, but no way you are getting in any of the top places, most of these places book up 6 months in advance.

EPCOT by far has the most choices. At this late date, go to EPCOT early and try to make a reservation. Your choices may not be too good on times, but at least you can eat. China and France both have pretty good restaurants. The Canadian steakhouse is good, but you probably wont be able to get in there. If EPCOT is full, try the California Grill on top of the Contemporary Hotel. Oh, and BTW none of these places are inexpensive, but then again nothing in Disney is cheap.

First thing is get a Dining Plan. It's well worth it. After that just call Disney Dining and see what is open or you can go to the Disney World web site and you can book all of them on your own. They have all of the diffrent search options (cuisine, charecter dining etc..)

I don't know what the best is, because I have 4 kids and they don't appreciate fine dining. I will say that one thing we do is make a 1:30ish reservation at the Crystal Palace, or similar buffet style restaurant. It is a great place to take a load off and it is air conditioned. It is fairly cost-effective when you compare to the price of a burger, fries, drink, and dessert at one of the walk up places in the park.
Also, Epcot has a food and wine festival every fall and we have been to it a couple of times. It is outstanding, and a lot of fun. You can try small samples of different types of ethnic food (a couple of dollars for a few bites). So, for 20 bucks, you can fill up on mini-plates of food. Very nice, if you're there in the fall.

Le Cellier, California Grill, Ohana, Jiko
Heard that Via Napoli is good too in the World Showcase
And the Boardwalk's Bakery is good too for breakfast pastries

Good luck eating at any decent time. Should have made reservations months ago.

California Grill is the correct answer.

We have always made dinner reservations months in advance, even when we've gone during a slow period and you're not going during a slow period. I'm afraid you're going to have to take what you can get at this point. If I were you, I'd be on the phone right now trying to set that up. The dining plan suggested is probably the best idea for you at this late date.
When we go, we have a schedule printed out of every park, which days, which rides, which ones with fast passes, where we eat at what time, what parades, where we watch them etc...and we leave free time for extras or do overs. Otherwise, you spend a lot of time deciding and not much time doing, especially if you have kids. The schedule works great. We get things done quickly and always have extra time to do more or do the favorites a second time.

If you have kids that watch the Disney channel in the morning definately check out the charecter buffet at Hollywood & VineMGM. They have all of the charecters from the non Mickey shows. Also the food was the best I found for lunch/dinner bufffets.

It's in the Canada area...and it is supposed to be incredible. My dad says it was one of the best steaks he'd ever had.
Powerman, you have a TD-reserved email?
