Best restaurants in Baton Rouge open late AFTER the game?

Could use online TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc... but figure this site is likely as reliable (or more). Coming to town for the A&M game. Been a while since I've stayed overnight in BR. Staying at the Capital Hilton. Anything worth going to near downtown?
**EDIT: Which ones of the ones mentioned here stay open late to service people leaving the game?

Need a little more info...what type of meal/how much are you willing to spend? Do you have a car, or does it have to be downtown?

Downtown restaurants (Jolie Pearl, Stroube's, Cocha, The Little Village) are mostly pretty good, but definitely overpriced.
Here's my favorites in town:
City Pork (Jefferson)
Pinetta's
Roberto's River Road
Ruffino's
Louisiana Lagniappe
Other great nice restaurants:
Galitiore's
Gino's
Juban's
Beausoleil
Manseur's
Kalurah Street Grill
Sushi Yama
Doe's
Outstanding more "casual" spots:
Parrain's
The Chimes
City Pork (Perkins)
The Overpass Merchant
Sushi Masa
Omi
Bistro Byronz
Curbside
LIT Pizza
Burgersmith
Albasha's
Favorite "hole in the wall"s
The Chicken Shack
Beleau's
River Queen Drive Inn (Port Allen)
Bergeron's (Port Allen)
Capital City Crawfish
Fleur de lis Pizza
Louie's
Inga's
Atcha Bakery
La Morenita
El Salvadorena
AM Mart
Bud's Broiler (if open by then)
Jambalaya Shoppe/Pot & Paddle (get the chicken & sausage gumbo over jambalaya rice and mix in some of your potato salad)
Jerry Lee's (for the Hogs Head Cheese)
Ronnie's Boudin (boudin balls, smoked boudin, cracklins, and boudin egg rolls)
Thai Pepper
Dang's
Smokin' Aces BBQ
Deep South BBQ
The Blue Store (home of the crack wings)

Wow, what a list! Thanks.

We're big fans of Cocha, it's downtown. They specialize in small plates and have a good beer and wine selection.
Digiulio Brothers is another favorite. Not too far from downtown, in the Perkins Road Overpass area. Italian food in a nice, casual atmosphere.
The Overpass area is a great spot. You've got The Overpass Merchant, a gastropub with a well-curated beer and wine selection; City Pork, a good deli where they smoke and cure their own meats; Parrain's, a good seafood spot; Pinetta's, a hole-in-the wall dive with good pasta and German food.

Second Cocha downtown if you are in the area.

Great list. I'd add Spanish Town Grocery in the hole in the wall category. Dempsey's is a good local joint, too.

Ate at Bin 77 for the first time in a while the other day. I enjoyed it.

Little village is your best bet actually downtown. Not impressed at all by Coacha. The Gregory is very good as well and newer.
If you want to venture not too far from downtown, your best bet is probably Mansurs on corporate. Some smaller more chain places nearby there as well.

No mention of Maison Lacour? That's a damn shame. It's the #1 restaurant in BR, and it's not close, imo.
Others:
Umami
LA Lagniappe
Mansur's

Cocha is by far the best restaurant downtown.
Little Village is overpriced generic Italian.

A genetic Italian restaurant.
Meaning, the same thing you can get at other Italian restaurants for much cheaper.
There are hole in the wall Italian joints all over this country where you can get better food for a third of the price.

Man, everyone raves about Cocha and I've had poor experiences three times now. I must need to go for dinner instead of lunch or something.

What have you had there? Last time I went we had steaks and seafood. Not sure what’s Italian about their bread, but it was pretty good (and super fattening)
