My favorite places in Metairie are Italian: Andrea's and Impastato's. Drago's for seafood. And there is always Ruth's Chris. I am going to one of these tonight.

Chateau Du Lac, Cypress, Sandros, and the occasional trip to Vincents.
A soon to be winner is Marcellos, which just opened in the last few days in the old Coyote Blues place.

NO fanfare best seafood platter is Deanie's in Bucktown. Onion rings kick azz. Catfish outstanding.
R&Os is hit or miss on service times but always hit on high prices (good poboy though!).

I've never thought their prices are high

You want to see some high prices for a suburban seafood place, go to the Galley on Metairie Rd.

Yes, that place is insane. Last time my dad and I ate there, we both ended up with the runs. That place will never get a dime from me again.

I think most of their stuff is good quality, but they are on crack if they think I'm ordering a $14 fried tilapia sandwich, $19 shrimp and grits, or a $26 fish dish at a seafood shack in Metairie.
I will still occasionally get some to go boiled stuff from there, but that's it.

Me and my 2 kids + appetizer (w/soft drinks) approaching $70.
That is high. Nothing fancy.
You must be a rich SOB. Good on you.
