Googling now
A little background, my wife found this place on a rec. They don’t have a website. They just opened in September as a response to Covid which restricted to small parties.
So they figured to make a 6 person experience twice a day, Thursday thru Sunday. I doubt you can find them on google. They only promote on Instagram. It’s kind of underground. The place resembles nothing like a restaurant. Looks like a show gallery of clothes from the front.
Middle of a neighborhood and it’s a essentially a house turned into a restaurant with 6 people at the kitchen island. They prepare the food in front of you.
60 day dry aged tuna. Among other things. They explain the process how they dry age the fish. It’s really unique.
ETA...LaLady found it. That’s it

It looks so cool. Jones is obsessed with fish, and that an understatement. Gotta check this out.

Let me know what you think. We are always trying new places in Houston and have a wide palate. I’m from NOLA and my wife is from Vietnam. So we have a ton of places we explore.
Only thing we don’t have much advice is Tex-mex, bc we always go to El Tiempo for fajitas. Haha

Want to add Asia Market Thai along with Street Food Thai Market. Both are excellent.
+1 to Eunice.
Will throw in Ouisie's Table too.

El Tiempo is the standard for fajitas...but if you're not getting the carnitas old school at El Tiempo you're doing it wrong.
Candente (birria tacos)
OG Ninfa's (redfish, shrimp, octopus tacos or fajita burger is the play here)
Mayyybe Goode Company Cantina

Bisou sounds like your scene. Gets busy after dinner ends, they have a DJ, Lambos and Ferraris will be lined up in the parking lot

As an aside - Going to Fredericksburg in mid-April and will be driving through Houston right around lunchtime. Are there any good lunch spots that are right off the interstate/easy in and out?
Doesn't have to necessarily be in the heart of Houston.. can be anywhere I'm passing through. Looks like the Heights area is right off i-10 though.

Xochi is fantastic but you need to research the restaurant and the menu. If you like mole then it will completely knock your socks off.
Bludorn is a new addition. Ive been twice and its fantastic.
If you're looking for a steakhouse, Pappas and V&A are both top notch.
If youre willing to go just a tad east of downtown (10 min uber maybe), the original Ninfa's on navigation is my favorite tex mex in the whole state. That makes it my favorite restaurant on the planet. If you want tex mex and dont want to leave the downtown area, Irma's has good food and a great vibe.
Man, Houston has some crazy good food.

Been meaning to try that place. A couple friends say they have some of the best wings in Houston.

Never heard of Candente, I’ll have to check it out next time I’m in town.

I’ve never found their food to be that memorable. I haven’t tried their wings though.
It’s decent food if you want to do some day drinking and then get hungry. But I haven’t heard people going there just to eat. Especially when there are so many better places nearby in the Heights.
The Boot has better food and is in walking distance from Cedar.
