Had a great breakfast at San Martin Bakery

San Martin

Had some really good pizza at Campisi's, we were told to make sure to go to the original location on Mockingbird Lane and it did not dissapoint.

I like both of these for places that won’t break the bank.

For expensive I like Nick and Sam’s, Uchi, and Pappa Bros steakhouse.

Sevy’s is somewhere in between.

BBQ: Hard Eight is decent (several locations). Hutchins is great and has free desert. Pecan lodge is probably the best but has long lines if you don’t get there when they open.

For fast food I like In and Out and Torchys.

But there are a ton of places around here. So many good options. Nearly any ethnic food you can think of is available.

Terry Blacks is now by Pecan Lodge. Those are two of the best in TX

We are going to be around Grand Prairie this weekend for baseball, any decent casual spots?

What part of Grand Prairie?

I often meet my largest account halfway which is Grand Prairie and we always pick the most generic places because it’s off I30 and just generic chains. Unfortunately you’ll probably be 15-20 minutes from most things.

South Grand Prairie you are close to I20 and Arlington which has tons.

We always go to Marianos Hacienda in Arlington which has been there forever and invented the frozen margarita

If you’re closer to East Grand Prairie close to I30 you aren’t too far from the Bishop Arts District which has some very cool spots

I’ve heard great things about Zavala’s BBQ, but I haven’t made it there yet. It’s near where you are staying.

I haven’t made it there yet because their hours are slim.

Honestly that part of town may be more chain like than some more high end parts of Dallas (though I like some of the chains).

Sidebar for Forth Worth- Is Joe T. Garcia’s worth the hype??

All of the ingredients for the fajitas are relatively bland. But put all on a tortilla I actually enjoy it. Their hot sauce is good when it's actually spicy. But it isn't anything you'd write home about as far as the food. Margaritas are good like the other guy said.

The environment is what makes it worth a visit. The outside area is a lot of plants and a water feature the size of a small pond. The wait staff is usually easy on the eyes and there is usually a good bit of. . . talented. . . clientele as well. I work down the road from there so I usually eat lunch there once or twice every month or two.
