Yes, I have eaten there.

Obviously not if you claim they use deli meat. It is a debris style roast beef.

I've never had Darrel's but none of the places mentioned would qualify as bad to me.. Julien's also has good sandwiches and awesome shoe string onion rings.. never had their muffaletta but I'd imagine it's not bad either.

Lake Charles and Jennings people rave about it, but you’re seriously not missing anything.

I'll chime in for Jason's.

I had one today and it was fabulous.

This thread has me wanting to go see ol' grumps himself at Pocorello's.

shite, I almost forgot, I'm only allowed to get a muff from Central Grocery. I hate this new rule.

Most certainly not a rule.

Pocorello's in Baton Rouge. They have a great muff and many other delicious things. The owner has been known to get a bit testy.

I know I'm late to the table, so to speak, but my favorite is actually Bisbano's. Next time you're in the mood, try it. Plus the proximity to campus makes it appetizing for other reasons, at times, as well.

I have not tried the one from Cedar Grocery, though. I suspect it is very good as well.
