I ordered one at Jason's years ago and promptly sent it back and ordered something else. It was the skimpiest, blandest muffaletta I have ever had.
I have to agree with this. Their muff was a real disappointment. I generally opt for Jason's Reuben or whatever their special is. The last time I went, they had a pot roast sandwich that was divine.

I realized Jason's Deli muff wasn't that good when I started dipping it in my broccoli and cheese soup.

Had a Jason's muff brought in to office today for lunch. It was NOT good! The olive salad mix was just bad.

I had Anthony's last week at the new location and I still think Jason's Deli is the best. Again, I wish Anthony's muff was better--it's just not.

Yep...it was terrible. I felt like someone made a shitty muffaletta and threw black olives on the bottom piece of bread. It was very soggy.

To me the olive mix makes the muff. Muffs are so hit or miss that I rarely order them from anywhere.
I will try Anthony's and Jason's. I really want to like muffs but it's hard to find one I really like. Doesn't help that I'm not an olive fan

Anthony's has a good Muff but I much prefer the Godfather there.

Which is why I keep a few jars of Central Market Olive Mix, Progress Grocery, Monjuni's,etc..
Use it in crawfish boil potato salad, some of the oil, and also dice on cutting board into smaller mince. Use it also on meatball poboys on ciabatta bread with mozzarella.

Who owns it now? Still good? What's best now?
I see Gary from time to time, and recently saw Yvette on Guy Fieri's grocery store game show. She lives/caters in Denver now, does all kinds of Youtube cooking videos.

I haven't seen Gary in years. I miss that guy. Used to fish for him when he was running the Strike Zone out of Venice.
