If your drinking what Mexicans drink it would be Corona or Tecate..

Used to bartend to Mexicans a million years ago.

Never sold a single Corona to one.

I cant claim to be an expert, but I've spent quite a bit of time in Sonora, Chihuahua, Campeche, Yucatan, and Quintana Roo. The easiest beer to find in the southernmost areas was Corona and Tecate. Further North I saw a good amount of Tecate and Dos Equis. If I'm not mistaken, the largest selling beer outside of Mexico is actually Corona Light and Corona is the highest seller in Mexico(perhaps largely consumed by visiting gringos)..

You didn't need this thread, you already had the correct answer.

Same here. Occasionally I go for a Modelo, but I prefer the other two.

Beer Advocate: We Dont Need No Stinking Limes

From what I understood from another thread awhile back (maybe it was anarticle somewhere), they traditionally used limes. The acidicty would kill bacteria from the ice that would touch the area around the lip of the bottle just under the cap. Idk exactly. Just reporting what I heard.

From the link I posted:

Carta Blanca : Referred by most drinkers as being utter swill, an extremely light and non-descript brew. Add many limes.

When you're dove hunting down there and its 120 degrees in the shade, you drink that shite by the gallon and get drunker than shite. All with no complaints!
