Ruth’s
Stab’s
Fleming’s
Sullivan’s
18 Steak

I guess aside from Doe’s, the above are the only true steakhouse options in BR.

This does not compute....
You saying the above listed are exotic fish?

If so... everyone has that if it’s available and I wouldn’t consider exotic. Except for bass. Ruffinos has redfish all the time for their cedar plank dish. Little village always has Chilean sea bass.

Call around to the better joints and see what’s on special for the weekend. Ruffinos, LA lagniappe, little village, Mason Lacour, mansurs etc etc...

May be able to find triple tail or something...

ETA For something exotic, go to Umami.

Restaurant week is next week. Doe's is the best deal in town.

Stroube's is my favorite steak place in BR. Next week is restaurant week too so you can check the menus and choose that way.

Don't rule out Stab's for fish.

Food wise, I'd say Nino's is one of the highest quality meals you can get in BR.

I may be in the minority, but nothing at Doe's impressed me.. and believe me, I wanted to love it. Steak had zero char on the outside and was chewy, mac and cheese was plain noodles with cheese melted on top, salad was just lettuce tossed in oil with some lemon juice. Blah.

Best steak restaurant is Ruth's, but you could have a very good steak at Kalurah Street (the hanger steak) or Nino's (the steak and pasta special) while also eating other stuff.
