So my go to is Kellers in Lafayette or Randazzo’s for a NOLA king cake. Has to ship reliably.

We just had a Gambino’s king cake sent to us. It’s the praline cream cheese filling one and it’s delicious.

We had 2 Gambino's shipped in for the weekend, praline and a strawberry cream cheese. Both were pretty good and arrived intact and still fresh.

Ralph's Market in Gonzales. Shipped one already to Tennessee and they said it was great.

I don't know about the best one to ship, but I ship the Kajun Kringle cakes from Haydel's every Christmas and they have always arrived fresh and without issue to the destinations.

Haydel’s didn’t have any open ship dates until March 4th. I have one shipping to our office in Tulsa tomorrow from Gambino’s.

We got Randazzo's shipped to BTR as a gift from a consultant in NO. Looked like it was run over by the FedEx truck, also all the icing had melted and slid off. I'm not sure how well any kingcake will ship if its hot outside.

I like Haydel’s because the cake is in plastic inside the box. I pick one up here in NOLA, wrap the box with butcher paper, slap a UPS label on it, and drop it off at the UPS distribution center in Elmwood. I also try not to ship when there’s a huge weather disturbance in the forecast for where it’s going. Usually ends up anywhere in the US within 72 hours for less than $15 using UPS ground (have shipped west coast, Michigan, and Northeast the past few years).

I will say the 2 Gambino's we had shipped in were bare cake with icing packs and 3 different colored sugar packs. You decorate them yourself when getting ready to serve them. I enjoyed decorating them myself.
