I'd like to get sort of an all-in-one type deal but not sure if the kamado style is the way to go or something like the Traeger pellet grills?

Looking for suggestions.

I don't care for the pellet grills.

but, for weekday afternoon hurry up suppers, I use natural gas Webber.

That being said, I also don't care for an "all in one" type.

I have a GMG pellet grill and it works great for quick things like burgers, and longer smoking like pork butts, beef ribs, etc...

Start with two grills, weber kettle and weber gas grill. Can do everything you need on both, from smoking nd high temp sear. Gas grill is for the occasional quick cook for chicken and burgers. Kettle for bbq flavor and smoking. Once you get good at smoking and grilling, add a kamado to your arsenal.

Get the Master Touch model for a few extra features. Great grills. My last one served me well for 13-14 years.

Accidentally downvoted. But I’m with you. I have a wood smoker and a propane grill.

Same here, except for having 2 wood smokers, one a bullet type and the other a homemade larger model that I can smoke about 100 lbs. of product in it if I wish. Plus I made it for having the charcoals directly under the product to generate sufficient heat or in an remote fire box for cold smoking things where you don't want the temperature of the box getting above 90 degrees.

My gas grill is a Webber 3 burner that is one of the best gas grills I've ever owned, and I've had several over the years.

I rock an egg and a Weber gas. Use both equally (a lot).

We had one similar to a PK (cast iron) growing up. I took it to college, and last I saw it, it looked the same as it had for 20 years. Frankly, I don’t remember what happened to it but I wish I still had it.

Keep an offset barrel at the deer camp.

This would be my rec for an all around. You can make the fire under the grill for direct, high temp cooking, or in the sidebox for low, slow smoking. It can also handle large amount of meat.

I love my Weber Summit Charcoal as a great all-arounder, but the 26" Weber Kettle is over a $1000 less. It is a great grill and can do a decent smoke.
