Spinoff from the best craft breweries thread, i find it hard to quantify best breweries, but easier to quantify best or favorite styles. Since taste is subjective, choose your style and pick your favorite Louisiana beer that you've had. Feel free to add styles.

Best Double IPA - Parish Ghost in the Machine
Best DDH Pale - Parish DDH Envie

Best Mixed Fermentation (Long Aged) Sour - Tie: Great Raft Come What Mayhaw/ NOLA House of the Rising
Best Kettle Sour (Gose/Berliner Weisse) - Urban South Lime Cucumber Gose
Best Saison - Urban South Coop'd Up
Best Barleywine - Parish Grand Reserve
Best Porter -

i like it a lot, but frick its expensive. korova milk porter (or even guiness) is nearly as good and about 1/2 the price

I agree it is pricey. Urban South's Cafe' is a close second for me. I love coffee stouts.

Current bloom or past bloom? I would have put the bloom on my list, but i didn't care for the current version of this beer.

I don't know if I got any of the latest batch. I had it last spring though and thought it was as good as ever.

I think late 2016 was the first release and my favorite. The following Spring was another release was really good as well. The 2018 spring release is the last one i had, and it was not my favorite. This is one of the beers i kept complaining about the perceived over-carbing issues (along with Nova Vert) that i pick up. Others may not pick it up.

Best dessert beer I ever had was the White Chocolate beer that Dixie produced in the mid 1990’s. Left an impression on me, I wish they would relaunch it.

I don't care what anyone else says, Gnarly Barley's chocolate peanut butter porter is delicious.

I had a hefeveisen from the Abita tap room that I swear was the best of that style I've ever tasted by a wide margin. I'm assuming, that means that it was just a test batch and will never be made again.
