I'm looking to try some new coffee shops in the area. I've tried a good bit, but I'd like to hear other peoples favorites.

My top three right now are:
1. Mammoth Espresso
2. Stumptown
3. Congregation coffee in Algiers

I’ve been trying this new place called my kitchen.

Holla at a nespresso vertuo machine and diavolitto pods off amazon and sit at your counter just crushing plans to take over the world. Or go pay too much for shitty coffee and people watch. Be a better you.

Sorry, but Nespresso only competes with low end espresso. It’s no match for freshly roasted, properly prepared high end stuff. Yes, I own a Nespresso.

Bon Ami in the CBD is superior to Stumptown imo. They use Cafe Grumpy beans, and they are delicious.

Re: this part, ponder the carbon footprint of a metal coffee pod shipped to you from Switzerland. As opposed to locally roasted coffee that come straight from Latin America to NOLA (which is still one of the top green coffee ports of entry). A “better you” is a relative thing.

Let’s at least hope you’re recycling your pods.

You don't want to start going down that road when making food decisions.

Really? Then why did 74% of the contributions made by Stumptown owners in 2018 go to Republicans?

You sound like a loser.

Most of the local coffee i drink is light years better than some pod.

Tom, proprietor of Coffee Science, is a coffee geek's coffee geek. He knows his stuff, from the roasting side to the preparation props. He will talk coffee w/you all day, or not, if you just want to drink in peace. There are lots of wannabe baristas in NO, but Tom's been working in/around coffee for decades. He didn't just read The Perfect Cup and work at Starbucks before opening his own shop.
