I used to love Sammys cfs but like everything else there the quality just got worse and worse. They "new" Sammys does not serve it. Dempsey's is good but only served on Wed.

Tried Doe's today it I think it may the best I ever had period. Its very similar to Sammys back in the day.

I used to destroy some chicken fried steak at Brightside. I'm not sure where to get a good one other than Piccadilly, which is nothing special

It's been a while, but I've always enjoyed the chicken fried steak at Louie's.

CFS with an order of pepper jack hash.

I used to destroy the cfs they served in the upstairs 'restaurant' thing they had upstairs in the union. Then again in the regular cafeteria area right below the next day. Could get brown gravy on it both places. Brown > white gravy imo.

I’ve eaten there for 45 years and I don’t recall eating it and frankly didn’t know they served it.

And your telling me I can get pepper jack hash browns?

Sweet Jesus where the hell have I been. That’s glorious.

I believe that the Airline location shut down.

Cracker Barrel has a decent CFS.

Calvins grocery store ain't bad. That's all I got in BR

If you want the best , take a ride. Go to South of the Border up Hwy 61 and get the chicken fried ribeye.

Challenge accepted. I usually get the Border steak or the fried chicken. Onion rings are a must.

George's Southside has a good CFS special, Wednesdays only.
They run out around 6-7PM so get there early.

Do they still only put brown gravy on it? I like George's but I just can't abide biscuits or CFS without white gravy.
