I didn't like Acme chargrilled very much. Not enough chargrill flavor or sauce and the sauce wasn't seasoned very well. They are "edible", but not in the class of Mansur's by a lot.

3) Jolie Pearl (although much more variety)

5) ACME - only went once though so maybe just caught a bad time?

Yep. Jolie Pearl is good and all, but they only give you 1 slice of extremely overly toasted bread with each order, so you can't do any sopping! Mansur's gives you plenty to make a meal.

And yes, Mansurs does a very good one was well. I forgot about them.
I've never had Mike Anderson's.
Parrain's and Chimes are good. Their variations aren't very good though.
Jolie Pearl is real good.
Sammy's might have some of the worst.
Drusilla is awful.

There's nothing else to share. Plenty of places already named in this thread that are better than Acme, and that's just in BR. There are too many places to name that do it better than Acme in NOLA.

With that being said, Acme is still my favorite chargrilled oyster in either city.

Just looked it up. Pretty much the same thing I do. I add a touch of Worcestershire and hot sauce to my butter mixture.
So simple. Makes me want to go pick up a sack of oysters today.

We ended up going to chimes and had the Rockefeller oysters And they were delicious.
I saw someone posted mike Anderson yesterday. The last time we went there the food was extremely meh and the server got my credit card mixed up with the large table next to us credit card. It ended up with a accidental $320 charge for the weekend. It was voided out but that charge sitting on my account that weekend sucked.

I've had every chargrilled oyster in the city, and I worked there for 6 years. Mansurs is the only option that even challenges the likes of Drago's and it's not even close. Not to mention I would take their menu for entrees and beverages over any of the others.

City Cafe on O'Neal blows all of these places away .. Mansur's included .. and theirs is .99 each on Tuesday nights ..

chimes r my favorite now ... went on a chargrilled spree with some friends couple months ago... went everywhere in br that had them...all the spots listed above where good but chimes and jolie were a step above as far as taste i thought.... jolie is just too far when chimes in 2 minutes away..
