In town for a wedding and looking for a good casual lunch spot for between the wedding and the reception. Thanks.

What part of town will be you staying in? "Dallas" is kind of a large area.

Just go to a BBQ joint. DFW has some top-shelf joints. Hard to be too far away from one.

Hudson House is good for that. They have locations in multiple towns.

Was in Deep Ellum a while back, enjoyed Pecan Lodge BBQ…

Used to be, and probably still is ... a great spot ...
Angry Dog in Deep Ellum. Right by Cane Rosso. And Pecan Lodge BBQ.
AD makes a great burger, pasta salad, and hot dog.

The wedding is probably in McKinney or something.

Kenny's Wood Fired Grill is on my list every time I'm in Dallas

Great suggestion. Always consistent. I love their pork chop.

Assuming the wedding is near University Park, you should go to Lover's Seafood. Kent Rathburn's wife owns it, and Kent sells to-go BBQ out of the parking lot on Saturdays.
The New Oreans setup Scallops and Grits is one of the only things I regret about moving away from Dallas.
Get nice and sauced before the reception with a couple of their flask old fashioneds.
