Need something quick for a Father's Day get together tonight.

But it also needs to be able to hold up during transfer in this damn heat.

Anyone have any recommendations?

That berry chantilly is very good, but I think you need to keep it cool

If you are going to the uptown location, drive a few blocks to O'Delice. Its across from the Circle K. It's french/Vietnamese. They make a killer carrot cake and as well as other stuff.

They are on summer vacay until tomorrow.

I like the berry from WF but i won't have a fridge to hold it in, tho we will be indoors. Kinda worried about the whip cream

Their chantilly is excellent and the fruits make for a really refreshing summer cake.

Just saw no way to keep cold. I also really like the Carrot Cake and the German chocolate cake there. Depends on personal taste, but pretty much any cake there is good. Carrot cake holds good at high room temperature though.

You can get one of those insulated holding bags and a couple of cold packs.

I'm not sure how far you are traveling but I bought the berry chantilly cake and drove about an hour and half and it was fine when I got to my destination.

Cake was refrigerated and the vehicle had AC so all good.

I'm not bringing far but going to a restaurant that can't keep it cool. So it may sit out for 1:30-2hrs

Just get a dozen of their raspberry oat bars, those are much better than any cake

If you don't have ice packs frozen do the following: Put ice in an ice chest and cool off the chest. Once you reach the restaurant, take out the ice bag and wipe the chest or put down a plastic garbage bag. Put cake in chest and close it. Should keep it just fine for several hours until you're ready to serve it.

Or, put a bag of ice in the chest. Cover it with a garbage bag and then a double folded towel. Put cake on top. Keep in the chest until serving time.

Don't be a pussy. Listen to GrisGris (I'd have a larger bank account if I had).
