While those are good, and I hate to mention chains, the burger at Texas Roadhouse may be better than those now. The Spirits burger is not what it used to be.

I recommended it because of the place, not really the burger per say since I always order something different.

Will be there tonight, and will probably have a burger. I had the shrimp grits from their food truck today at lunch.

five guys in baton rouge is pretty good but you will probably collapse of a heart attack because of how greasy it is.

5 guys is money!

I was always a big fan of the Fat City Burger at Phil's Grill in Metry. Deep fried with fried egg on top = win!

Are you kidding me, Frostop? Unless they went to ground beef, their burgers were nothing but soybean on a bun.

No burger list is complete without Big Johns in Winnsboro. Their bacon cheeseburger is awesome.

Mondo in NOLA is the best burger I've ever had, with Luke a close second.

^I went to Mondo a week and a half ago. I regret ordering the burger (my dad had ordered it and liked it). Everything else we had was meh.

Say what? That place is absolute garbage. You would better off going to McDonald's...and I am not joking.

Why isn't George's on the list?

Yeah I live right around the corner so I've eaten just about everything there

Really nothing has blown me away so far

The app with the oysters over the artichoke bread pudding is probably the best thing on the menu

I remember thinking the pork was pretty pathetic compared to what my old man can cook up.

^I agree 100%. My family/myself/boyfriend/boyfriend's family who is originally from da Parish can all make better dishes. I think Mondo is in a great location and will make lots of money because all the Lakeview folks will go there to eat (since Lakeview doesn't have a whole lot of dining choices). But IMO I'd much rather eat a good pizza at Reginelli's or eat at Madrid's or Steak Knife. Just my opinion. Lakeview Harbor isn't as good as it used to be. BTW if you like Japanese food/sushi you should try Wasabi (kind of located in the same area asRussell's Marina Grill) if you haven't already.
