Slightly out of BR and not yet mentioned but Bergerons in Port Allen on LA-415 used to have several good lunch burger options a couple years back when I worked closer. Not to mention the daily lunch specials and specialty meats offered. I stopped in on a Saturday a few months back after it had been a a couple years and it was set up differently. But food seemed to still be of good quality.

Agreed. Dixie Maid is the best.
The people eating Jubans probably never heard of it!
Getto burger .
This might not even be what you are talking about, but "ghetto Burger" on N. Foster is a good burger for a helluva deal. Its similar (better in my opinion) to Dixie Maid. Includes fries at like 10 bucks.
Ghetto Burger. N. Foster. lunch time only... for this camper.
I haven't tried the wings. But the chef is the owner and its just him in there surrounded by graffiti jesus'es... the look good.

Mason's Grill puts out a decent burger.
It has been a few years since I've been to Mason's. Last time I went the burger and onion rings were very good. I know ownership changed. Are the burgers and onion rings just as good under the new ownership?

We like Mason's. The new owners are great. I find the food as good or better in some dishes. Service is fantastic.

I went to Mason's recently. The burger was a pre made patty so not impressed. The worst part is they ask how you want your burger cooked so I got my hopes up. Pre made comes out well every time .

Plenty of good burgers in BR, but Riverside Patty is the best that I have found.

Was there today, picked up Green Onion Smoked Sausage, Andouille and Tasso for a Gumbo.
The lunch Specials are some of the best in the BTR area.
If you haven’t tried the Chicken Cracklings, get a bag or two.

Finally remembered to grab a pic before eating.
Iverstine Farms deli. Best burger in BR.

I’m in B/R for a few weeks. Was looking for a good burger place to try & bumped into TD’s debate via a 2023 post.
This type of information is where TD really shines. Both resourceful and informative.
I saw someone mention Judice Inn, which I recognized as a place in Lafayette. Maybe they had one in B/R as well. Whatever the case, I lived in Lafayette for 7-years or so, from 1977 to 1983. Personally, I was never impressed by Judice inn but understand how many others feel differently.
IMHO, hands down the best burger & fries I ever had anywhere were the ones from the Brass Rail in Lafayette during the timeframe mentioned above.
My 2 cents worth as for burgers in B/R (and other cities where these chains operate), I’m very impressed with:
*Walk-Ons;
*Twin Peaks;
* Most any Marriott owned facility where they serve food;
The Chimes (I think that’s the place by the golf course close to downtown, right!!!)
*Georges (which was the place under the bridge to my understanding)…….
Man, what I wouldn’t give for a late 70’s Rail Burger and those homemade fries!!!

I had an Iverstine smash burger recently. Definitely one of the best I have had in BR.
