An endorsement for Cafe Mimi. Those of you who raved about the old B and D Mini Mart in Denham pre-flood - this is where 'Steve' ended up. Wonderful biscuits, and they pile on the fixins.

Cafe Mimi is an absolute gem. You never hear it discussed since it’s weekday work lunch hours, but they also have very solid Vietnamese.

I think last time I was in BR (it's been a while) there was a place off of Perkins that had biscuits in the name - Batch maybe? Looked new. Any idea if they're any good?

Chorizo ranchero with house hot sauce from Kolachie Kitchen is my go-to.

Batch 13. They moved downtown, but unsure how the place is doing since the move.

Damn, didn't know they moved from the Essen location. I enjoyed it the few times I went. Their Shrimp & Grits Bowlettes and Bonuts (Beignet + Donut) were pretty good if memory serves. Never had their sandwiches though.

Better than their hot honey chicken biscuit
