Gonna be on a tight schedule when i pick up my beers saturday. Whats the best boudin within like 5-10 mins that doesn't put me too far out of the way heading back to NOLA? Preference to also having balls with cheese stuffed in them.

Billeauds in Broussard on the corner of Main and Morgan. They have smoked and regular but I don't think they do balls.

Nunu’s boudin is great, and their fresh sausage is some of the best I’ve had. My favorites are their strawberry sausage and their Steens sausage.

Chops is pretty good too and make some unique sausages.

For the boudin balls and pepper jack boudin wraps, Billy's has a location off of I-10, on Pont de Mouton at I-49.

If he's driving up from new orleans then turning back around, you'd have added close to 50 mins to his trip.

I say nunus is your best option.

eta: I'm assuming he's coming up 90 like a sane person and not going though the hell hole of BR traffic.

aint there an Heberts right off of 90 along the service road in front of Albertsons? its closer than Nunus, but not necessarily better.

If not, Chops is closest.

On your way in 10 should be fine but just check your map to see what its looking like in BR on the way out.

90 is the generally quicker route when factoring in BR traffic

No matter what time of day there is always a chance that you get delayed by 2-3 wrecks near the bridge. Why take that chance when the 90 route is probably quicker even when both routes are traffic free? In summation, frick the bridge traffic.

Hebert’s is gone. Billeaud’s is closer and better than chops. Nunu’s is better than both but a little more down the road.

We're talking broussard to NOLA, they're both almost 145 mile trips either way. Don't act like we're talking about lafayette to NOLA

If the OP has the opportunity to hit up Billeaud’s, definitely try.. Their links are excellent.
