Some of the guides I fish with eat the canned sardines. I took a like as well and eat them quite often. I like the big ones. single layer, in water or oil. Healthy stuff.

me too. i have access to fresh sardines, which is great, but i don't have access to a grill; so it's kinda torture

for the most part really simple, but good stuff. a great change since i've spent a lot of time in paris where everything has to be fricked with and fancy.

someone else might know the actual spanish title of some of these dishes

little clams with a parsley sauce
bread slathered with tomato/olive oil
fried squid
great ham
anchovies
ham croquettes
egg and potato omelet
potato chunks with a chili sauce

3-12 euros? (most on the lower end, butthe clams were pricey)

brought some small vacuum packs back of 2 kinds... 120euro/kg, the other 170 euro/kg.

A guy on the plane from barcelona to paris carried on an entire ham (hoof sticking out of his bag)

sorry, i stayed with a friend. i can only imagine how great it'll be in the summer,though.
