The settlement marks the end of that lawsuit and it means BRG will continue to operate the modern Israeli restaurant Shaya under that name. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

The statements are just way too sweet, it seems. I mean, they freaking can't stand each other!

I didn't think the article said much of anything other than they reached a settlement and some PR person wrote some vanilla statements. The only substantive info is that they reached a settlement and Shaya will continue to be called Shaya.

I don't care if it's anchored. Fine with me.

Both of these two are queens...and Shaya is overrated anyway.

I ate at Shaya Easter weekend. I didn't notice much of a difference from when Alon was running it. Pita was wonderful and a second one was brought hot and timely. Hummus, baba ganoush and tabouli were great. I tasted a red pepper/eggplant dip, I believe, that just wasn't of interest to me. Haloumi was okay. The sauce and strawberries were good. I think we had some falafel and the avocado and white fish toast which was just as good as usual. We shared a dynamite dessert we couldn't make a dent in. It had some sort of caramelized white chocolate and caramel sauces, I think, with crispy thin brittle slices that were really good. It was sort of like a thick slice of French toast with the sauces and brittle and a scoop of ice cream.

I'd go again, but not any time soon.

Standard etiquette for posting new threads where you link an article is to take important snippets from the article and put it in the OP. Because we're all lazy and don't want to click on the link
