In my semi regular quest for good, scratch, battered onion rings that aren't thick cut or underdone, I tried Ben's Burgers on Clearview (Metairie). Score! A solid rendition. Check 'em out, fellow O-ring devotees.

I just can't get into that place. Hitting a golf ball into a screen just doesn't move the needle. Surprised they are still open to be honest

Actually not my favorite onion rings. I prefer a thin flour-based batter. Ben’s is like a corndog.

Double run through an ice water, then four process. Thin and crispy, the way God intended onion rings to be.

Easily the best place to hang out in Metairie, among the pile of shite bars in Jefferson parish

They do well, and just expanded to Houston

I'm a fan of Lee's Hamburgers' onion rings.

OK, now I'm putting Desi Vega burgers' rings on the list.
And Lee's hamburgers, too. I always forget about Lee's. They're not especially convenient to any of my regular routes....

Come Back Inn has good ones. It’s amazing how many places have bad onion rings.
