Went to Sams website because they have prices. Manda, Polk, Country Pleasin, Richards... all are less than $4 a pound. It may be $6 where you shop, but like I said, change grocery stores.

Can we put this stupid claim to rest already? Sausage is ground. Hot dogs are emulsified. 2 different processes, 2 different results. I don’t care if you try to say the sausage is “like hot dogs”, it’s not. Just because they know how to make a smooth grind and stuff tight, doesn’t mean it’s an emulsified hot dog.

I think he may be referring to quality, not the process.

I don’t think the quality is bad at all. I’ve seen many of their processing plants in person. Some of them use cheaper meat like hearts, but it’s on the labels. If it’s on the label, don’t buy it. The majority of the LA guys use good quality meat. I’ve never understood why people think it’s cheap meat. Because their price is low? Their prices are low because they are competing with the National companies and they can afford to lower them because of the volume they make. One of these local companies y’all like to bash uses Boston butts. I’ve watched them grind whole Boston butts and make their sausage, but y’all keep saying they make cheap quality hot dogs. Ignorance fills this board when it comes to this topic.

1lb of sausage is about $6. Go from there and take donations.

Y’all need to find a new processor.

I quit drinking and have a decent stash of craft beer.

ETA: I'd remove this post if I were you. Could potentially get in to trouble.
