Uhh, not sure if this is kosher on the FDB, but seeing as I have access to all the Nola, US, Parish stuff I can get and wish I had stuff from everywhere else, I figured there might be others perusing this Board that would be interested in getting what we have down in LA.

I’m looking for Trillium, Treehouse, Alchemist, Modern Times, Matchless, Jester King, Three Floyd’s, Russian River, you name it.

I dig NEIPAs, Bruts, APAs, IPAs, Saisons, Sours, Belgians, etc. Not big into Porters and Stouts, but I have my fair share of Imperials I enjoy sitting on and partaking in on the colder South Louisiana nights.

I have:

NEIPAs:
-NOLA’s Island Remedy
-NOLA’s Tasman

Porters:
-Great Raft’s Oaked and Smoked Old Mad Joy

I've used this a few times.

LINK

And i hear there are facebook groups for this as well.

I quit trading, however. Too much of a hassle for me, shipping out beer. I'm happy with what i can get locally, and what i can't get locally, i try to brew.

I think you'll have better luck searching around for trade partners in Facebook beer groups, or maybe other beer trading sites. Most of the posters on here are from the S. La./Houston area and have the same access as you. Good luck on your search. I would add Other Half, Monkish, and Veil to your list of requested beers. I would imagine DDH Ghost would command some interest in a trade if you have it.

Those are top of my list! Never had any of the famous ones: Congress Street or Julius.

I’d be happy to send you some of these new NOLA New England Varietals (Island Remedy and Tasman) for those if it’s as easy for you to get them as it is for me!

Bug, I definitely brew a ton, I just would like to see what all the hysteria is about.

I’m almost always happy with what I brew, but it’s nice to have a water mark to judge your own by.

Curds, I was going to do that, but didn’t know if that was frowned upon. I know that thread is mainly about sharing what you’re sipping on.

Most people are nice in the thread if you dont ask their wives for bjs or post pictures of balloons.

Are you located in NOLA as your profile says?

Oh i'm not judging. Plenty homewbrewers that make great beer trade frequently. My preference, is to just not do it. Moreso the hassle of shipping more than anything else. I also got burned on my last trade. A guy i traded with twice previously and both went well, but we had a major trade imbalance, so he was going to ship me the difference in beers i wanted. Well apparently he had some personal stuff go down with him, and we never got a chance to finalize the shipment. I just forgot about it after a while, and chalked it up to "everyone has busy lives" type thing.

Yeah, it was a fun for a while, but then got tiresome going to the post office every week and paying $15-$20 in postage.

Buddy of mine is still into it and kicks down some to me he gets every now and then.

Other half is coming to New Orleans no? Have heard 2x from 2 different people that one of their brewers moved to Nola within the last two months to open a brewery.
