That's true. I am a beer snob, but the style should have been taken out behind the barn and shot in the head decades ago.

I disagree. However the 1st gose i had, i would be with you. However, i was also very new to sour beers and just didn't like them.

I am really starting to like them now. As my tastes in beer are ever changing, it's a good style that isn't like the others. I find myself becoming ever more narrowing in my style preferences from what i used to drink. Before i drank IPA, stout, porter, belgian dubbels, ambers, saisons, blondes, browns, etc.... I pretty much drank it all. Nowadays, however, i found that i turn away from many styles. I still love IPA's, stouts, porters, saisons, but in place of the others, sour and funky beers have taken up residents. I love a good mixed ferm beer. I like all brett beers and all lacto beers like gose. Evolving tastes i guess.

Grimm's Super Going and Super Spruce are fantastic and are the reasons i'm about to brew a gose myself. Plan to make one with cactus juice (thanks to SN's Otra Vez) and cucumbers. In my mind, i would think the cactus and cucumber would play well with the tartness of a gose and be very refreshing.

The melon crushability of that Otra Vez is absurd. Love that beer.

The problem is their flagship beer sucks. That's why they had to put Ragin Cajuns on a beer name and now this. They're resorting to gimmicks. Loup Garou is the best beer I've tried from them, they should make that more available.

Nothing wrong with a good gose.

Actually, if you ask them, they will say their flagship beer was the Pale 31, which is admittedly a below average pale ale.

The Ragin Cajun beer is something that your average Bud drinker can enjoy and feel lik me he is supporting a local, small brewery. It's the beer that now brings in revenue so they can try other stuff like the barrel aged beers that us craft snobs like.

They should bottle one of the stouts and make it a year round, easy to find offering. I'd buy Loup Garou regularly.

I'll give it a try but I don't expect much. Can't be worse than Papa Rico or that persimmon crap.

I'm not going to try it because I find most gose and sour styles not worth my time, much like most session IPAs. But again, I do enjoy very much some of BT's other offerings.
