Bayou Smokehouse Don't Waste Your Time! Edit: Pics Posted

Picked up lunch for some coworkers and myself. Probably one of the worst food experiences I've had in a while!
On a scale of 10, I'd rate it as 2/10 just because the lady at the register was nice, and the amount of food you get for the price is not bad.
Ordered two 2 meat combos.
1. Brisket and Ribs
Brisket was awful! Dry and sliced with the gain. inedible. Ribs were not the worst I've had, but they didn't remove the silver skin and one was not very done.
2. Chicken and Sausage
I asked for white meat, got dark in the box. Meat didnt look very appetizing, skin was rubbery. Sausage is not made in house looked an tasted like some cheap stuff that was bought and thrown in the smoker to heat up!
Sides weren't awful but nothing to write home about. I have pic's just debating if I should post them or not.

I can only imagine you had someone not trained properly working at lunchtime. Cutting against the grain is Brisket 101....no one who doesn't know that opens up a bbq joint.
I'd call and speak with the owner. Not to necessarily get any sort of compensation but to let him know what happened because those are pretty serious problems.

Dry incorrectly sliced Brisket
Rib not awful other than membrane
Not very done
Not White meat, didn't look appetizing.
Cheap Sausage in the box!

Wow. That sausage looks like eckerd sausage from Walmart. I can look at that chicken and tell that the skin would feel like you are chewing on a rain coat. The brisket being cut lengthways And dry? Wow.

I went right after they opened with coworkers. Had pulled pork that had two chunks of bone in it. Dangerous. Also it wasn’t even big pieces , it was like pulled then chopped. Drywall brisket. Good maccaroni. But baked beans that were absolutely fricking disgusting. Like beans In great value ketchup. They should have spent the extra 75 cents on the gallon cans of Bush’s Beans because whatever they used was awful.
Nice woman working as mentioned by this guy too. I feel bad for them honestly. World class bbq is world class for a reason. But smoking brisket and all that really is not that fricking difficult to put out good quality that would dominate Louisiana.
Edit: the sausage is unforgivable.

My rule #1 when ordering brisket...always ask for fatty. I've done enough briskets myself to know that the point is always gonna be the best.
And it does appear that that sausage was precooked for sure. If it wasn't it and was fully cooked via the smoker it would have a darker skin and more of a ring.

Looked up where it was and I grew up around the corner. I sure miss the French Market and Poboys at Ramers....

Jesus that looks terrible. That brisket looks like the wood used to smoke it.

Wow. Even the potato salad looks pedestrian and void of color contrast.

Nice slice job on that brisket.
Did you see them slice your brisket?
It looks presliced.
Looks like Hillshire Farm Hot Sausage.
