Thanks for posting, good read. We moved here in 1987 from NO area, fried seafood and steaks ruled the city. I love the international spread available today. We still have some gaps, but they are closing up.

I remember coming to LSU and getting on the OT lounge circa 2004-2005 and asking about good mexican food..... I was told to go to El Rio Grande..... the salsa was freakin Pace Picante sauce. I knew i wasnt in New York City anymore.

That’s kinda surprising because even 04-05 there were still staples such as superior and ninfas.
They aren’t life changing but still solid.
You just got bad advice.

They should have sent you to Carlos' next to Circle Bowl.
