I saw this episode and thought it was pretty cool. Then I read an article in the Times Pic about it. The owner downplayed the whole thing and said he was doing just fine before the show did their thing.

It is now Spirit's. I passed through yesterday for 5 minutes. The bathroom was an epic disaster. I wasn't nauseous going in but I was coming out.

Clearly this is a Mardi Gras Day review but come on. I've been to Bourbon Street more times then I care to remember but this was the most vile bathroom I've seen. Feel free to skip this one.

The R Bar was great though!! I'm sure most of the crowd yesterday are still off work today.

I snapped a few pics of the bathroom after you walked out. Should I post em?

HAHA. I'm not sure anyone is ready for that. Board of Health may rush in and close them down.

Hell, go ahead!! Maybe they can throw another Burrito Joint up!

Does the fact that I know this cat make it any less creepy?

Those aren't bad at all. Have you seen Reggie's or any bar in tigerland's bathrooms??

Yeah, but this place was just "Bar Rescued." I'm sure they put thousands of dollars into giving the place a facelift, but their bathrooms are this fricking disastrous? Check out the sink!!!

I mean come on fellas. That's a joke.

Isn't there a Turtle Bay on Decatur by Molly's? I seem to recall really shitty draft beer there.

You forgot to show the "mural".

Best part was as we were leaving, a "local"(village idiot) overheard my complaint and said "You must not be from here." No, just lived here my whole life... I just refuse to allow all decency to go out the window because so many people are in town.

Might change your mind if he posted the wall picture. Not sure R2R has it though. It was putrid.

I didn't grab a pic of the wall. And it seems some folks are missing the point .. I understand there are shitty bathrooms on Bourbon Street, especially during Mardi Gras, but this is an establishment that supposedly just got "rescued." Sorry if some people are too dense to get the fricking point.

I get what you are saying. That sink was inexcusable. I do agree with most other folks here though. Jus tby those picks, I have seen much worse at a Hooter's much less at a Bourbon St bar during Mardi Gras.

too bad they aren't scratch and sniff.

I see from the article that it is $27 for the show redesigned blinking glass before drink content. Ha ha, yeah baby, that will go over well.
