Looking for somewhere to watch the Bama game in Nola. Want a crowd but still want to sit, nothing crazy crowded. Bayou Beer Garden a good choice? How early to get seating for four with a good view of a tv? Other/better options?

Also need dinner recs for places that still has reservations at a decent time Saturday.

Trying to stay in the Magazine/Napoleon area if possible. Appoline and Lilette have reservations still open. A little further, Patois, Boucherie, Maypop. All good choices or are any lacking?

What are the chances of walking into LPG or Shaya with no reservations around 7-8PM with less than an hour wait for a table of four? Might just do this and have Nomiya as backup if the wait is crazy.

Go check out the Rusty Nail for the game. Kidding.

I think you made a fine choice with Bayou Beer Garden. Especially if the weather is nice.

Check out Wrong Iron - right by Bayou Beer Garden but a nicer outside area with a ton of huge TVs and a better tap list than BBG.

Tchoup yard or Port Orleans

The crowds at Shaya aren’t what they used to be. I don’t think you’d wait close to an hour if at all

Maypop is hitting tho

Appoline upperline and Lilette are not “after ball game” type places. Neither is LPG

Clancy’s had some 9pm reservations. Got one about an hour ago. We may try to walk in Cochon or Herbsaint earlier if there is room outside or at the bar.

Interested in the game watching recs as well

Mannings for me. Go early and get a recline. Food is just ok
Watched the A&M LSU game there last year. You can walk wherever after that
Deuce also has a restaurant in the fq where I've watched games before, forget the name

Ole saint. I've stopped in for beers, but never eaten there.

I'm sure urban south will have a watch party. We watched a saints game there and it was fun.

Maypop is definitely a great option for dinner. Went a few weeks ago, and it was a fantastic meal.

The food at Manning's is terrible...its worse than the concessions at tiger stadium...go elsewhere to watch the game....

The food and service are horrible. I got stuck there with a group once and will never go again.

Good point. We booked Maypop but will keep in mind some more casual walk in spots.

Not in the location you requested, but I just saw that Ye Olde College Inn is opening early for the game. It is providing complimentary snacks until 4 pm. Food is good so you could hang around for dinner.

Wrong Iron is my absolute worst nightmare for a game.

I've only been to one there, and it was the Texas game. NIGHTMARE.

So beyond packed with college kids and douchebags, it took 45 minutes just to get a drink...that isn't for me.

If you're in your early 20s I'm sure its great.

trying to avoid this. Will have my aunt and uncle with me and that’s not really their style.

Fat Harry’s is walkable for us so thinking about doing that.
