Attempt number 3.
Dominique Macquet has been a constant presence on the New Orleans dining scene since the 1990s, when he took over the kitchen at the Bistro at the Maison de Ville. He went on to open a string of highly regarded restaurants. For the past two years, however, Macquet took a break from restaurants.
In late January, Macquet will return with a new bistro on the corner of Magazine and Bordeaux streets.
The restaurant, to be called Bordeaux, will be a French bistro. Its centerpiece will be a rotisserie imported from France. Macquet will use the rotisserie to cook whole lambs, goats and suckling pigs.

Ive never eaten at one of his places so can’t comment on his food but I believe the current location of Shaya was his last venture? How do these guys continue to get funding from a bank?

Probably has private investors. As many times as he’s opened and closed in such a short time frame, I don’t think a bank would be interested. Probably a rich guy that needs a. Write off and knows Domoniques track record.

This must mean we can expect to see a Kevin Vizard place opening soon as well.

His investors are the aerobic mafia in New Orleans. Unlimited cash flow. The same guys that support each mayor elect. Look up Fouad Zeton. He’s always throwing the judges lunches, hanging with crooks like Stephen rue, throwing mayors political campaigns and bringing Evander Holyfield along as well. And there is always Dominique serving up the food. They don’t really care if the restaurants go under.

I’ve had some really good meals at his restaurants however they are wildly inconsistent and obviously not very well run.

What other restaurants does he own? I looked online and only found the magnolia place.
