fun fact: the oldest beer in my "cellar" (read: closet) is an Avery Hog Heaven Barleywine. Its from 2009.
No idea why I never drank it. I'm sure its awful now.

Problem is that Envie is already not moving. Faux demand due to supply is driving the market in this area.
Parish can solve that problem by expanding to other markets, or brewing more GITM and OV and less Envie. They will figure it out. In the meantime, more choices is better. Wouldn't it be nice to see GITM on the shelves a couple of weeks after it's released?

I've got enough local beers I'm not drinking. I'm good capping distribution now.
Just making a PSA, not trying to push the brewery.

Uhh no
The rare would officially be over

It's not a matter of parish expanding, they already can't support the market.
If distributors got out of the way so Parish could do its thing...

Last release took awhile to purge. Walked into Steins and he had 6 cases sitting there. This was at least 4-5 days after it hit NO.

Maharaja Double IPA
It's not what it used to be after they changed the recipe. 2015 was the last time it was great.
As far as sours, their Apricot is the best one they've got. Up there with Bruery's Filmishmish as far as jaw clinching goes. It hasn't seen distribution down here yet unfortunately.

Once Flood signs Parish, you won't have that problem anymore. NOLA is about to be launched here in April. Sours and all.

Like Houston. And Sugar Land before the other burbs.

And on the second page this became a Parish thread

What breweries other than Parish, Trillum and Treehouse are worth discussing on here?

You could be right. It might have been a gold, not a silver.

It's selling pretty well at most craft shops.

Faux demand? With Envie?

They put a hold on brewing hoppy beers to support the demand of strawberry canebrake. I think needing to expand is the problem, not demand.

Mockler distributes Parish in BR and they do a fairly good job at it. Now what goes on in New Orleans and the Northshore, is sad. That is indeed distributor problems. Again though, i don't see this as Parish being hindered by distributors. The beer has been purchased, lack of ending up on the shelves timely is on the distributor.

That'd be a neat trick, considering BR hasn't seen NOLA Sours since before Christmas. However, i think the issue was they simply didn't have any sours ready to go to market yet. I couldn't find any sours at the brewery either a couple months back. I think they just had a lull in barrel turnover.
