How long will you be there? Are you looking for nicer dinner spots? Casual dinner/lunch?

Acre
We visited these two last trip and enjoyed both.

Here you go. Put ** next to some of my personal favorites.
Auburn:
Nicer Dinner:
Acre **
Ariccia
The Depot
Casual Dinner (also options for lunch)
The Hound **
Bow & Arrow
Amsterdam Cafe
Hamilton's
Casual Lunch:
Little Italy Pizzeria ** (also great for late night)
Momma G's (go to the W. Magnolia location for original), make sure to get the nachos if you go. Warning, sandwiches are steamed, which throws some people off.
Pannie-George's ** (meat & 3)
Auburn Draft House - i've not gotten anything other than the burgers, so can't speak to the rest of their food. Beer selection is usually solid.
Niffer's
Opelika:
Nice Dinner:
Cafe One Twenty Three
Casual Dinner/Lunch:
Irish Bread Pub **
Zazu Gastropub

Good list. A couple more:
Mason Jar (meat + 3)
Sheila C's Burger Barn (not fancy, but good burgers)
Baumhower's Victory Grill
Country's BBQ (varied menu)
Mellow Mushroom
There are numerous Korean and other Pacific rim restaurants if you want something like that.

Redfish on the Half Shell at Acre is an amazing dinner dish.
Bow & Arrow is a very good upscale BBQ place.
Pannie George or Veggies-2-Go for good meat-and-3 lunch options.
The places that others have mentioned, like Amsterdam’s, Arricia, and Hamilton’s, are all good too.

I've had some great meals at The Hound. The beer and whiskey selection is top notch.

Two that I didn’t see mentioned are vintage in Auburn and Botanic in Opelika. Great dinner choices.

Yea the hound is probably my pick as just overall bang for your buck spot in Auburn. Dishes are really good and it has a lot of other offers for whatever you’re feeling. Bar selections are solid, brunch is good.

Any good breweries there? Our group will be there for a night in April on our way to Augusta. Will want to hit a brewery after playing Grand National that afternoon.

THere's Red Clay Brewery in downtown Opelika.

Red Clay Brewery in Opelika is the only one I know of that I've been to. I've only been once. Had their Oktoberfest while it was in season and enjoyed it, but other than that i've never had any of their beers. Resting Pulse is another in Opelika, but i've never been.
Unfortunately not much of a brewery scene in Auburn. Auburn Draft House usually has a pretty decent tap selection though.
Current list
There will be a Jack Brown's opening in downtown Auburn sometime spring 2023, so there is a chance it may be open as well when you are there. The Hound, as previously mentioned, is also another great spot to just post up at the bar and watch games or whatever. They usually have a pretty good draft list that mainly features AL breweries.

I've tried to like their beers, but they don't make anything I like.

I need to try it.

Yea I can't really speak to how good it is or isn't, as all I tried was a seasonal specialty offer. It was an above average oktoberfest as far as alabama breweries go. Other than that one visit, I know almost nothing about them. Wasn't a big fan of the decor though. I'm kind of over the sheet metal brewery decorations.
