Got there at 12:30 and was told a 45 minute wait, no big deal since it was so nice outside.
We grabbed a few drinks and watched the boats go by.
40 minutes later we're seated.

Ordered the boiled shrimp appetizer. Shrimp were cold an mushy. Ordered the fried shrimp covered with crabmeat au gratin from the advertised special of the day.

40 minutes later ,I receive 3 butterflied shrimp resting on top of a handful of fries along with a burnt piece of garlic bread.
Tipped the waitress well and vowed not to return for a few years at least.

Hope they improve, it used to be a pretty good place for a decent meal.

I never got the hype even when they were good. I guess if you were already in the area - but it wasn't something worth driving to and it's out of the way for the average Joe.

Glad to hear they reopened , sorry you had a bad experience, I always get the diversion which is half order of fried shrimp and small crab au gratin, I have always been pleased but not overwhelmed, I agree with other posters generally a solid place (except in the OPs expe) but nothing worth a long drive for

Should of went to diversion pizza instead, always great

Youre, right.
I met one the owners at a jambalaya cook-off recently and she was really nice.

Pretty sure they're still recovering. I've had some solid meals there over the years and it's still one of my favorite places to go. They make a surprisingly good steak.

You must have caught her on a good day to give the impression that she is really nice.

Congratulations, still March 1st was their first official day back open to dine in. Before that it was only take out with a limited menu. Not sure where you disagree when it is on their very own Facebook.
Sorry they were overwhelmed on their first day back open and you didn't get the meal you feel you deserve?

If a place is open for business, they are open for criticism.
