Are there any Cuban places in BR or Nola?

Someone asked me but I don't know of any. Closest thing I know of would be Central American (La Salvadoreña). I know that's not really Cuban. Am I missing somewhere?

There are a couple of Cuban food trucks but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Friend,
Churros Cafe in Metairie by the old Eric’s crafts and newly opened Gordon’s. It’s probably the oldest Cuban restaurant in Louisiana, now nearly 30 years old. I go once a year before getting Christmas crafting supplies at Gordon’s every October.
Yours,

Manolito in New Orleans has what you need. There's another one in Bywater, but I can't remember the name.

Caribbean Joe's in Baton Rouge is really good. It's in an office building off of Sherwood so not a lot of people know about it.
I've been there a handful of times and the food has always been really good. The staff is very helpful and nice.
They have daily lunch specials and regular menu items. Their lunch specials are usually authentic Caribbean dishes and are freaking awesome.

Plus the Cuban bakeries, Norma’s, in Kenner and MidCity, CubaMex (used to be Holly’s) in Gretna

I don't think I've ever seen goat on the menu. From what I remember from the times I've been, most of what they serve is sandwiches and wraps with a few plates, platters, and specials here and there. So, they'll have like a jerk chicken sandwich, a cubano (a REALLY good cubano), hamburgers, etc.
They're in the ground floor of a good sized office building just down the street from where Hawk's Nest used to be, behind the stretch of Sherwood between the Daiquiri Shop and Dairy Queen. They're a lunch spot with limited kitchen space, so they kind of skew to quick service type stuff. They do cook platters and plate lunches as well, but they don't have a full menu of traditional cuban dishes, so check with them and they may have what you want on any given day.
Lafayette does have a couple of straight up full-on Cuban restaurants, if it's in your driving range.

Although Indian and not Cuban, recently I had the curry goat at Saffron and it was excellent

I think the best curry goat is at Boswell's Jamaican on Tulane Ave. Really good with a side of Rice n Peas and Steamed Veggies.
