I just love a good hot dog. I've made it my mission to seek out the best hot dogs offered around the Baton Rouge area. I will follow up with a detailed report to a local publcation after I exhaust myself of visits to the possible eateries.
If you had a dog from Frankie's, was it good? Would you go back? Please offer suggestions for other eateries that have hot dogs on the menu!
Thanks!

Death Valley has a sausage dog that is offered a few Saturdays in the fall that is pretty great.

I went and did not think it was really worth the price. Not a bad dawg but it was nothing spectacular.

Best 225 has 12 places to get a Hot Dog in BR

Dearmans
Bull Chicks
Frankie's Dawg House
Spoke & Hub
Burgersmith
Mochinut (Korean corn dog)
Iverstine Butcher
The Sportsbook at L'Auberge
Oni Onigiri (probably another Korean style dog)
River Queen Drive Inn
The Overpass Merchant
New Orleans Poboy & Seafood
and Local snoball stands

Been to the original location a couple times, but it's been years. What I had, i remember being good/okay. Good variety of options.

Been there once and wasn't really impressed. It's not particularly clean.. it's basically a shack. I got a hamburger and the meat smelled terrible. Do not recommend.

I like Frankie’s and used to go often, but it feels like the prices go up every time I go there.

Bull Chicks is really an excellent mom & pop joint, it looks like a chain, but not really, everything is cooked to order. The spicy Cajun dog is my favorite in BR.

Five Guys has a really good hot dog. I like it with bacon, cheese and jalapenos.

It’s pretty good on a normal day but we went for restaurant week last year and the “deal” was $90 for 2 and it was trash. Felt like we could have gone to a real restaurant for $90. Haven’t been back since

I’ve been several times, but probably not in the last year or two. I enjoyed it. They did a good job on their fries.

I dig it. Don't eat there often but it's pretty good when I do. They have a lot of interesting options. Not inexpensive though. They have tator tots which I'm a sucker for.
