Supposed to be traditional tex mex but also a few dishes with a middle eastern flare. The Gyro tacos sound interesting.

Pretty sure thats the same people that had a mediterranean joint in Prairieville... previous business partner was opening the messican place at Hoo Shoo Too/Old Jefferson

Havent been yet but will try it. Wife surprisingly likes El Paso.

El Paso is easily the best Tex-mex in Baton Rouge. Consistent and good.

Yea. I enjoyed my experience and will be going back. Shared some nachos and had some drinks when I went. Really good atmosphere for the Coursey area. Seemed to be pretty standard tex-mex. With that being said, the nachos I had did have Kalamata olives on them... I would rather go to Los Reyes than El Paso if I'm going somewhere for the atmosphere. Still need to try more of the food to put it above El Paso, meal wise...

Maybe that El Paso is doing something amazingly different, but the two I ate at were garbage

Went yesterday, had the steak and gyro fajitas pretty good. Atmosphere is surprisingly good with the two patios and renovations.

Went last week. They did a lot of renovations. Have 2 patio areas and one with a huge fountain area.
Food was pretty good for opening week! Appetizers were all good. Recommend the home made egg rolls with fajita chicken or steak appetizer.
Didnt try any entrees yet.
Will go back soon!

Then there are some imposters operating a place on Sherwood near Coursey, they serve absolute garbage. I find it hard to believe they are still in business.

The renovations at Los Reyes are striking, much brighter and pretty good atmosphere and the patio is nice. Food was very good and warrants another trip.

Yes it's them and the Casa Maria owners with a third party. Good food and a great atmosphere.
