Anyone here ever smoke hot dogs?

I am going to try these spiral cut dogs on the smoker tomorrow.

I smoke brats and Hickory is the way to go . Usually only use one chunk dont over do it.

I was worried that with being spiraled and having so much more surface area to take on smoke that hickory might be to strong.

I do it all the time and grill them too. Can't go wrong with hickory or a fruit wood either. Not something that would be too strong a flavor or it'll make them somewhat bitter.

Yes I have. It makes a little more work for grilling hot dogs if you doing more than a handful but still good.

My friend is still drinking even though she now needs a liver transplant. Can’t decide if we should ween her off or go cold turkey.
