Anyone boiled crawfish yet?

My wife wants me to boil some for her birthday next weekend. Just trying to get an idea on price and size. TIA!

I did some when I was in town for Christmas. I paid $4/lb and they were a solid medium with some large. Looks like they are down to $3.25/lb right now

ETA: This was in Lafayette.

Got a sack from University Seafood for $4.50/lb about 2 weeks ago. Good quality for the time of year.

I normally wait until February in the Houston area and that’s just because we are craving them and willing to pay. It happens frequently come March.

$2.99 per lb at B & J Seafood in Hammond. They were $5.99 two weeks ago.

Farmer told me yesterday his catch doubled, and the price dropped to $2.50

$4 a pound and a nice medium size. I dont like big crawfish anyway. They were also very tender.

The Crawfish App call team started calling for pricing updates on 1/6. Vendors that update their own pricing will start filling in as they get supply.

Supply has been really good with the mild weather in December. We will see how big of a dent this cold front puts in it. Average price in January, 2021 was $5.12, average price January, 2022 is $3.88. Off to a good start.

We boiled this weekend. $3/lb from a place in Duson. Crawfish app is legit

You should open the app and see this first



Then after 2 seconds or so, it automatically switches to this



If its not doing that I'd probably uninstall then reinstall the app.


eta: surely you know from that point you have to touch the live or boiled red button right?
