Looking to pick up some decent fried catfish today and don't feel like driving all the way to Tony's. Any suggestions?

If I had to guess, I'd say Albertsons. Call them.

Rouses in Denham usually Has it in their hot bar... I’d assume other locations do as well

When I'm passing through BR and I get the envie for catfish, I stop at the Carter's on Vincent Rd.

But it's been a while, and I don't know if they're still in business.

Because it’s a delicious fish.

OP Hi Nabor at Broadmoor does a very nice catfish. City Cafe on George O Neil is great and will sell you a platter.

I guess to each his own. I love fish, but never catfish. And I never eat anything fried if I can help it.

Then why comment in a thread specifically asking for fried catfish recommendations?

thanks for the recs - found some at Hi Nabor on Jones Creek. I made a big ol' pot of white beans, and you can't eat white beans without fried fish

The new Rouses on Bluebonnet has it on Fridays for $6.99/lb along with everything else in their hot bar. Unfortunately, their fried catfish is disgusting, with very hard, pebbly breading, and the baked catfish is worse.

Exactly.

OP...If you're in Thibodaux, Blake's has decent fried catfish every damn day. It won't be the best you ever ate but it damn sure won't be the worst.
