This place must be pretty good cause there is always a line of people waiting to get in on Sundays
not worth waiting in line for breakfast.. but if you notice most restaurants in shreveport have lines to get in.
its a very sad sight honestly

no kitchens at home being used in a healthy manner... fatties being fat...
I just see it as a continued decay of our society... in a way....

I don't see that many lines in Shreveport restaurants, maybe on Sunday evenings for the church crowd, but a normal night? nah, not that many lines other than maybe Superiors...
..and Chilis

That's just depressing!
I thought you were going to say because brunch is absurdly expensive and it's a colossal waste of money.
Same thing, I guess.

Another Broken Egg in Shreveport is fricking atrocious.
the best breakfast in Shreve is @ Southfield Grille and @ Cotton Boll. unsure of their hours though.

ABE at least has some good breakfast options for those of us who are under 3 bills on the scale.

Welp, that rules ABE out for the wife.

Sevendipity. It's downtown on Marshall St.

Those are both nasty Mississippi-type "meat and 3" places. I'm sure the breakfast tastes good with all the lard they use, but I'd be embarrassed to eat there with all the other fatasses in the city.

well looks like you just pointed out our primary differences. I'm a eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy kind of guy .. and you sound like a crab cakes w/ eggs benedict & hollandaise kind of guy. endless mimosas too, right?
sorry bro .. ate at ABE in Shreveport once and the food was puke-inducing.

ill take my $5 eggs and bacon breakfast over your $15 wannabe shite at ABE any day of the week. it doesn't sound like you have ever crossed the threshold at strawns. and fwiw, i prefer george's breakfast. they use more lard.

Sounds like the numbers on the scales are a primary difference between us too
Your idea of breakfast is slop on a plate - nothing wrong with that, you fit in well at those places you eat.
Out of curiosity, what did you have at ABE that make you puke?

Actually Murrell's has reopened at a truck stop in Bossier City.
Where? I haven't seen any truck stops in Bossier City. Murrell has been dead for a long time. His place next to Centenary was great back in the 60s.
They let me buy a cup of coffee and a piece of toast for 50 cents so I could use the table to study for exams for hours. The dorm was too loud with rock music. Wow, that brings back memories.
The waitress was an old woman from Germany. She kept giving me another piece of toast and another cup of coffee with no charge.
