Any experience at Jacmel in Hammond??

Was good 8-10 years ago when I was in college. Not sure about now.

Yes. I had a great experience there. Great steaks and the service was good. Good for taking the SO out as candle light and setting is romantic. I need to try lunch/brunch there sometime.

It's getting about that time to start thinking about Jacmel Inn. I love going there int he cool weather when their fireplaces are all lit and the atmosphere is perfect.
Last year we ate there in late december and everything was very good. The highlight of the meal was when a menu caught on fire (someone placed it too close to the lighted candle) on the porch and I was able to put it out before that place turned into an inferno. True story.
I think they need to comp me my next meal.

We go every few months. It's pretty good overall. I've been getting whatever fresh fish they have. Always get it pan seared.

It's a very solid choice, nice ambience. My choice for nice dinner in hammond is tope la tho.

Buddy of mine at work today told me he was working on putting his meat in one of the hot waitresses' lunch box.
I was thinking that I have not been to Jacmel's in a while and needed to stop by soon.

Thanks for the input sounds like we will try. So for you Hammond folks, where is a decent place for an after dinner drink we are late 40's.... I'm not familiar with Hammond

Jacmel has a nice bar, Brady's is nice as well. The crescent is good if you go before 10pm, also Benny's is kinda divey but good for coldest beer in town.

Jacmel is super reasonable prices. We had drinks there also.

I'll echo the Crescent. It's literally my favorite bar I've been to.
If you just want beer/wine, I would suggest Red, White, and Brew. They have hundreds of beers and wines and is a very laid back place. It's a little closer to Jacmel also, though all of downtown is easily walkable.
