Since we are on the topic of eggs, do any of yall own one of these?

Large Adjustable Rig - Ceramic Grill Store

Had my egg for 6 months now and I'm ready to start trying some longer cooks ie brisket.

I don't like the flavor of lump. It takes a bit more but doesn't bother me. My wife doesn't like it either so there is that also.

Different brands(not all because some are made by the same company)vary in the smoke flavor produced.

Yep, well worth the money in my opinion. Love having the extra tiers when I need it.

Rouge, We are thinking about making the initial investment in an Oval XL Model. What do you think of the divider? Should we make a full Oval KAB or maybe just a half oval to start? Yes....it may be called the "Half Ash Basket". :)

I'd buy one for my oval XL for sure. My brother has one for his bge and he loves it. It would definitely be nice if they could integrate a slot for the firebox divider.

I just don't see the use in this. I remove the ash through the bottom vent and go. I wouldn't be a buyer.

Half and you can just buy two for a full basket. Make one for large and XL.

Please sign that GRTiger so they know how important it is. TIA.

It will be a lot of ash for me since I normally just use Kingsford.

What grill/smoker do you use it with? Curious because my wife really doesn't like the flavor I get with the different lump I've used. Everyone else does, though.

The fire might not travel all the time from on side to another.

I use a MAPP torch. Are you referring to my comment above? I am saying if you light in one spot for a long low and slow it may go out trying to cross the 2 grates I would think depending on how close they sit.

For a nice fire bowl divider check out the Ash Dragon. For round cookers.

I have two large green eggs. One ten years old with no gasket. It's a beast and is used about twice a week. I use lump occasionally but mostly Kingsford. Works fine.

I use a divider damn near all the time. I think two halves would be the best route for the primo. I would buy one tomorrow if it was available.

Rouge: tell that dude to join TD and come discuss.
