Anti-inflammation diet

My wife and I both have auto-immune dieseases (arthritis and thyroid) and we have been looking at anti-inflammatory diets. We found one we are starting in January which is only 30 days. Everything we read about them from people with auto-immune diseases say it has changed their lives.
Has anyone on here done one of these before and if so, what did it do for you?

What's the diet? Why does it only "work" for 30 days?

My cousin was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Could not walk up the stairs, difficulty walking and riding her bike. Came on somewhat suddenly - she had just run up/down the Grand Canyon a year before. Doctors wanted her to go on Humira or something like that. She totally changed her diet. Eats lots of organic vegetables, some fish, drinks turmeric/ginger/cinnamon/black pepper tea every day. Basically is cured - back to being fairly active and normal. I don’t know all the details of what she did with her diet, but it worked wonders.

Try the SCD diet. I have an autoimmune disease and it’s helped me a lot.

It isn’t really a diet as it is only 30 days. It is more a reset.
Everyone who I’ve known who has done it says they couldn’t go back to their old way of eating because they felt so much better. My sister in-law has a similar thyroid issue and she was visiting and ate some bread. Her stomach ballooned up and she looked almost pregnant. She still eats what she wants but limits things like bread or dairy because of how bad it makes her feel.

The arthritis in my hands is definitely more noticeable when I’m not eating low carb.

What is the 30 day diet you are considering called? I have arthritis and am curious to know!

I found low carb eating greatly helps my back and joint pain.

I experienced this as well. Not even full keto. I cut out all explicitly high carb items like bread and pasta and limited lower carb items to stay under 35 carbs per day, which is not difficult or overly limiting.

Not sure what ketogenic diet you're referencing, but many people can stay in ketosis eating less than 50g of carbs a day.
35 is well within that limit especially if total carbs, not net.

I was referring to net carbs above. The general keto diet Is was referencing was the 20 net carbs or less rule.
