Mrs Saia is from the old country across the pond.
I've been a loyal patron since the mid 1980s.

Was a big Anthony's fan when I lived in BR. The Italian sausage is winner!!!

Wow, it seems the few who do know about it REALLY like it. The Italian sandwich did look good, but we went for the muff. I'll have to try the Italian next time.
Has anyone else had the pepper shooters? Holy shite, they are worth the trip by themselves!

As Mike said the Italian Lover is an incredible sandwich.
The little Mexican restaurant next to the old New Generation is pretty damn good as well if you want an option in that part of town. Or go a bit farther for some great Pho.

I don't work in that area anymore, but Anthony's is always worth the drive.
Does anyone know if they have Italian specialty meats? I am trying to find good coppa without driving to nola.

They have a lot of specialty meats, but call and ask them, Marco can give you the run down

This,
That roast beef they have is good stuff.
Try the roast beef po-boy there one day..
No gravy or anything special, but it is a damn good sandwich.
I also like the Marie better than the Italian lover

Are you talking about "Tacos y Burritos"? I pass it everytime I go to Anthony's and wonder if it's any good. Can't help but chuckle at the super-authentic Mexican name though.

Anthony's has the best Spaghetti and Meatballs in town, been living in that area for 18 years and just discovered the place last year.
