I've never had frozen custard, but I didn't think there was a need for 2 frozen custard places in Hammond.

Anyone a fan of this place? I see they have other locations in BR

hopefully pricing of Andys will put Eddies out of business....Eddies is ridiculous..

also, Hammond is currently sitting at (2) 7 brews (2) PJs (2) Popeyes (2) Canes (2) CFA (2) Starbucks (2) Independent coffee places (2) bakeries...shite, the more I list the odder it looks

Do you even Cade's bro?

Andy's and Eddie's are good but last I checked didn't have cake mix, which is a game changer

They're great, although I'm kinda done with paying almost $10/person for ice cream. I get the creativity and convenience of it but I'm just as happy buying a gallon of ice cream at Rouse's and making it last several dessert meals.

Funny enough, with "huge" Italian population here, they are all ok with the few mediocre ones

Similar discussions have been had but I'll play since you applied:

Name Five things in Hammond that are not chains..Then, name five places not in hammond that you FREQUENT that are not chains

Easy:

Jacmel
Kirin
Tope La
Cate Street
Lee’s

I’ll also hit up Commodores and Blackend Brew.

that's a chain, with a different name...

See my point ?

What are you talking about???

Tope La owned by Tommy Masaracchia and Jimmy Hebert
Kirin owned by the Chans
Cate Street owned by the Wongs
Jacmel Inn owned by the Colucci brothers
Lee's owned by Sam Tallo

Not one of those restaurants I mentioned is owned by the same person or group. And they definietly aren't chains

The Wong's used to own Trey Yuen, but that has been closed for over a decade now

Edit: For the other 2 I listed (Had to look them up):

Commodores is owned by Dallas Commodore Lloyd II
Blackend Brew is owned by Anthony Donze
