Thanks to all who participated and all who took the time to vote. In my opinion, every single one of the submissions looked delicious. It was really hard to choose, but y'all did.

Drum roll.....

Congrats MSMHater! You get to choose our next ingredient! This one will be hard, because submissions day will be Tuesday or Wednesday of Thanksgiving week. Jax had suggested a Thanksgiving theme, but it's up to you.

Also, since I am in third place, if anyone wants to challenge my totals and do a re-count, it's fine by me. I wouldn't want to be accused of trying to win the big prize money for myself.

FRAUD!

This is all fraudulent.

I demand a recount... but I'm too lazy to do it.

Great cooking, everyone.

Holy shite!!!

Thanks guys! And thanks Darla for "hosting ". Ill think of something with a Thanksgiving vibe to it. My family won't let me get away with not frying a turkey, so I won't pick that. Give me 24 hours to figure it out.

to all participants. The dishes were all incredible.

Eta: does it have to be a protein?

I agree with not wanting it to be turkey, but a side dish of some kind. Not that I'm trying to unduly influence you or anything.

ETA: No, doesn't have to be a protein, especially for this one. A stuffing or dressing could be interesting. Or any dish of your choosing.

Another idea is that we hold this one the week after Thanksgiving, but people could just photograph their dishes ahead of time if it's for their Thanksgiving meal. Or you could base it on Thanksgiving leftovers. Just throwing out ideas.

at the fraud comments! You must have found some extra entries under the napkins

Congrats to everyone for some great dishes...I'll say it again I love seeing the different dishes entered and look forward to the next one!

I will also toss out there it doesn't matter to me if it's a protein or not, you can only so so many of those before you run out. I am game for whatever, seasoning, cooking method, type of food, and so on.

Why not make it wide open for Thanksgiving? No restrictions - side dish, main dish, dessert, whatever is your favorite holiday dish.

Or we could have a regular competition this time and have the next one be a holiday special...

Wouldn't that mean we would have to make the dish a couple of days before Thanksgiving day, if the submission date is Tuesday? Thats my only worry with the holiday special.

Eta: looks like Darla said possibly Wednesday. That would work. 1 day before would be fine.

Yea, nothing in my holiday repertoire is really exceptional. Hope I'm not disappointing, but im going to choose...beef short ribs. I prefer English cut, but any style will be fine. That will assure some variety in the dishes.

Yep you are in the drivers seat am I'm game for what ever.

With that said you picked something that I had a dish that I was very much interested in trying out one day, and now I have a reason to push it up the list

Congratulations to the winners. This truly was a difficult one to judge. I could have put 3 entirely different people on my ballot and felt good about it.

Oh, man. That will require some thinking. Hard to find good beef short ribs these days in the grocery store. I will have to go to the meat market, I think.

Good choice.
